I, unfortunately, haven't been able to figure out how to put captions with these photos. But that won't stop me from uploading more!

We are chugging away, 2/3 through our visit. Our stay has had its ups and downs. Learning to make coffee, really from scratch (up), watching birds felled by wildly accurate rock throwing boys (down), being witness to two performances of Courageous Women, a community theatre group that writes and performs plays that deal with the relevant issues people face here (up), every minor scrape or cut becoming infected, slow to heal and a source of great interest for small black flies (down), indescribably gorgeous, high, regal white clouds cresting the horizon in an endless field of blue sky (up), seeing mosquito larvae at the bottom of your water bottle you just chugged (down), reading ten books in two weeks (up), knowing that something more complex than being tired is wrong with your host mother and not having the words to communicate deeply (down), having a gorgeous view of a lush ravine with grazing goats and nearby donkeys while you use the open air latrine (up), realizing same latrine is clearly viewed by the foutbal field on higher ground (down).
